Appointment & Fee Policies

GETTING STARTED

In an effort to be clear about the process you are undertaking, the following is an outline of the policies and procedures that will impact our work together. If you have any questions after reading this, please discuss these when you meet with your counselor or coach for you initial consultation.

The first step you want to take is to schedule your initial consultation via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Once that has been confirmed, you will want to fill-out the GRM Ministry Intake form.  It must be completed and received by the ministry prior to your first session.  You may print or download this form, and it is located under the FAQ's and Forms tab.  

INITIAL CONSULTATION

    NOTE: The 15 minute consultation is an initial phone inquiry we have with potential clients interested in either pastoral counseling, life coaching or transformation ministry. It is for the purpose of finding out what the person's needs are, what type of ministry would be best to meet their needs, and if we or our ministry are a right fit for them. It is NOT a free 15 minute phone ministry session.

APPOINTMENT POLICIES  

*GRM provides phone and Skype appointments for long distant clients. 

  • All appointments must be scheduled in advance.
  • Appointments are normally 60 minutes for individuals and 90 minutes for couples/families in duration—scheduled in advance on a weekly basis.
  • Scheduling an appointment represents your counselor's or your coach’s commitment to reserve time for you.

RESCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS

  • It is our policy to schedule you for a “standing appointment.”
  • Concluding each session we will confirm your next scheduled appointment.
  • Standing appointments will only be rescheduled if an alternative time is available.

CANCELLATIONS/ NO SHOWS

If you must cancel your appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time. The ONLY exceptions are in case of an emergency or situations out of your control.

  • Any cancellations NOT made at least 24 hours in advance will be charged to the client for the length of the scheduled session.
  • This charge will be the responsibility of the client.
  • If prior session(s) have not been paid in full, clients will not be seen until those financial obligations have been met.

 SESSIONS

The average length of sessions are most often:

  • 60 minutes for individuals
  • 90 minutes for couples or families

 FEE STRUCTURE

Because Get Real Ministries is a not-for-profit ministry, we must accept fees on a donation-for-service basis.  Therefore, GRM has a set recommended donation of:

  • $75 per 60 minutes
  • $110 per 90 minutes
    • The above recommended donations could decrease based on your income, or increase based on our family size
    • The above amounts will increase in the case of a 2nd counselor being requested or needed during the session
    • The increase or decrease of fees is decided upon by GRM staff and determined according to a sliding-scale basis.
    • This will be determined by the counselor or coach during your initial free consultation.

 PAYMENTS

  • Payment is due upon the completion of each session.
  • You may pay by cash or check or credit.
  • Checks should be made payable to "Get Real Ministries”.
  • For long distance sessions, may use PayPal via our website under "DONATE".
  • Accounts must be kept current in order to continue the counseling process.

INSURANCE

  • We counsel/coach/minister on a donation-for-service basis ONLY.
  • We currently do NOT accept third-party payments.
