What We Value

These values listed with our definititons are what perpetuate our personal lives and ministry, and are what we also believe to be the defining qualities for living in Courageous Community...

Truth & Authenticity

All truth comes from God, which is reflected by both the written (Logos) and spoken (Rhema) word of God – Rhema comes to confirm Logos. Believers should be seekers of truth and use the Word of God, the highest standard of truth, as the measuring stick for everything.

A passion for truth should inspire a life of authenticity based upon what is real--not false, pretentious or imitation—and living true to one's own personality, spirit, or character. Authenticity looks a life lived without fear of transparency, and living the same in private as in public.

Changing a person’s perception of truth can change their life because it sets the stage for the real transformation to take place. Real transformation creates lasting change and a natural desire for authentic living.

Real Transformation only comes as a result of having authentic encounters with the one true, living God. Authentic encounters are mainly birthed out of the depths of intimacy & worship with the one true, living God, not something conjured up by emotion or a riveted atmosphere.

Prayer & Faith

Prayer is the most powerful tool given to us by God. It activates the gifts of the Spirit and penetrates the spirit realm, and is not limited by the natural world. Prayer is a demonstration of faith in the power of God.

Faith is the ability to believe, trust and hope, based on what can’t be seen in the natural, it moves the hand of God on our behalf. Faith is what activates the power of God.

Prayer is what we use to call upon the gifts of the Spirit and faith is what activates them and causes them to manifest in the natural.

Although it is the manifestation of the gifts that brings about supernatural transformation, it is the character and stewardship of a person that demonstrates the person of Christ.

Purpose & Destiny

Everyone was created to fulfill purpose and to reach their full potential in Christ--their Kingdom destiny.

Discovering purpose sets your life on course to reach your full potential and fulfill destiny.

Purpose is what you live for—how we serve and love His people; Destiny is what you would die—our role in assisting God in dismantling the kingdom of darkness and re-establishing His Kingdom on the earth.

Living in pursuit of purpose gives our life direction, clarity, meaning and fulfillment. Living directed by destiny causes our lives to lived out of purity, passion and power.

Because we are both flesh and spirit—a spirit housed in a body, fulfilling purpose = reaching one’s maximum potential as a natural man and fulfilling destiny = reaching one’s maximum as a spirit man.

Wholeness & Fullness

Man is 3-part: Spirit, Soul (mind, will emotions) and Body, therefore wholeness comes from nurturing one’s spirit, soul and body equally and is measured by the quality of one’s spiritual, emotional, mental, physical & social well-being

We cannot victoriously live out our purpose and fulfill destiny without aspiring for Christ-centered wholeness.

Not being “whole”, leaves “holes” causing our lives to be unstable, unbalanced and exposed for the enemy to have access, hindering us from living in the fullness of the Kingdom of God.

Upon salvation, we freely receive a Godly inheritance to live as sons and daughters in the fullness of the Kingdom of God which is prosperity, abundance, health, love, authority and abounding in the fruits and gifts of the Spirit—Heaven on earth.

Character & Stewardship

To us character = practicing honor, integrity, purity, excellence and perseverance in the fear of God.

Honor = living dignified; respecting fellowman, revering leadership and glorifying God

Integrity = doing the right thing when nobody is watching; private life mirroring public life.

Purity = freedom from anything that debases, contaminates, pollutes ones spirit, soul or body

Perseverance = steadfastness in a state of grace leading finally to a state of glory, despite difficulty or delay in achieving the success or desired goal

Excellence = upholding a standard for being outstanding or of extremely good quality

Stewardship is the governing of these character traits in a way that directs others to Christ and models authentically who He is to the world.

The way one stewards the attributes of Christ should determine one’s promotion to leadership, not by how great one manifest the gifts of the Spirit or the demonstration of the miraculous works.

Relationship & Community

In the Kingdom of Heaven, relationship is priority over rules and religion. We are not called to be religious but to be in relationship with Christ.

The goal of a Christ-centered life should be learning to live “from” God in relationship, not “for” God based on works according to law.

Relationships are healthy when we are dependent on God, and interdependent on man.

A personal relationship with Christ includes—praying, believing, seeing, hearing, discerning and doing the works of Christ on your own, not depending on man.

True success is measured by the quality of one’s relationships and ability to thrive in community, not by societal status or wealth.

Community happens when Believers embrace the power of God inside of them and live courageously, love relentlessly, profess boldly, give unsparingly, do greater works than Christ and start a revolutionary move of God throughout the earth!

Uniqueness, Creativity & Innovation

Everyone is unique, therefore has their own unique pathway to wholeness – meaning you can’t push everyone thru the same mold to attain their healing or freedom.

Everyone has a unique purpose that must be discovered for themselves and revealed by God. No one can tell you who you are except the one who created you.

The creator of the Universe used creativity to create the world, has spoken to His people throughout history in creative ways by dreams and visions, and has performed creative miracles since the beginning of time.

Christ doesn’t expect anything less of His children than to use this same creativity in every aspect of life—especially in attaining wholeness & freedom, discovering purpose and pursuing their God-given destiny.

We aspire to remain creative, innovate and cutting edge in our service to others; relying heavily on the inspiration and the gifts of the Holy Spirit for direction and decisions.

Empowerment, Experience & Reciprocity

We empower those we serve to have their own experience with Christ, teaching them to see, hear and discern Christ for themselves, which is the assurance for lasting change and equips them to continue on in their freedom and relationship with Christ once our service to them has ended.

What you have received freely, freely give away to keep your victory and freedom--this how we carry on The Great Exchange that took place when Christ gave His life for ours.

“Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you."  John 8:32 (MSG)
